Unshackled from Sol’s confines by the electromatter drive, nation states vie for dominance across the burgeoning expanse of stars. In this new paradigm, Lucius must decide for himself what his purpose is. Stay true the utopian ideals of The Sovereignty or admit to a deeper, universal truth. Both carry the specter of death, both terrify him more than he would like to admit.
