With ancestry that clings to the mountains of the Central Spine, the orcish race is one of hardy tenacity. Warrior born and bred; the males of the species run a bloody society in which only strength is honored. Predominantly displayed in the first novel of the Gods Adrift series, Shards of Ember, the orcs challenge our heroines with their brutal ferocity that stuns even the most stalwart of humanity’s soldiers. They are not a stupid race as some are led to believe, but, instead, their ‘intellect’ is displayed in more unorthodox ways, particularly in their morbid fascination with the god of war, Magdris, that Crimson King.
